Lake Lawn Resort - A Wisconsin Family Getaway

I grew up coming to Lake Lawn Resort and now I get the opportunity to bring both of my children here to experience it. Lake Lawn Resort is perfect for a quick family getaway or a longer family vacation. It is along the shoreline of Lake Delavan in Wisconsin (close in proximity to the popular Lake Geneva) and has plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for any Midwest season. We went in early October this year and it did not disappoint.

The resort is unique because it consists of several buildings that are connected by long hallways filled with windows that allow a perfect view to the lawn or of Lake Delavan. One of my favorite memories is running down the hallways that seemed to go on forever, and both Hudson and Eleanor enjoyed it too. There are lots of little nooks with tables and chairs that are perfect for playing games or reading.

Lake Lawn Resort also has loft rooms that are perfect for families because the kids can sleep upstairs for added fun. The balconies and rocking chairs are also great for drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoying the sunrise.

Both Hudson and Eleanor enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool, and Matt and Papa took a polar plunge in one of the outdoor pools.

Everyone enjoyed playing games in the arcade and the kid zone.

We also took a short trip to nearby Lake Geneva, WI, to play in the park, do a little shopping, and taste test chocolate at Kilwin's. #LakeGeneva

We loved eating in the Frontier Restaurant, which has amazing views of Lake Delavan. Hudson and Eleanor ate at their very first breakfast buffet (champagne included), and I always love their massive cheese platter appetizer. We also had pizza at the Isle of Capri Cafe and fried cheese curds at the Lookout Bar & Eatery.
